OUTDOORS Running - Athletics The Paris Front Runners commit alongside the TIP and organize running and athletics events in a spirit of sportsmanship, fun, and conviviality. We gather over 150 participants and volunteers each year. This year we offer two race formats , open to all, at the Bois de Vincennes: 5 km and 10 km . Both races will start simultaneously. The course consists of a 5 km loop. You can take a look at it at the bottom of this page. And for the first time, thanks to funding from Impact 2024 , we also offer a thematic run "Bois de Vincennes, the forgotten ones in sports history," led by a speaker. Women's World Games , Colonial Exhibition, Alice Milliat, human zoos, Pershing Stadium, sport and patriotism... How did women manage to enter the world of sports ? What position could minorities aspire to? Why did the practice of sports spread at a certain moment in French history ? These events, places, people, and answers are to be discovered in this running tour at a moderate pace of 8 to 9 km and lasting 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours. Then, at the nearby Alain Mimoun Stadium , you can participate in track events (400m race, relay running 4x400m, long jump and 800m backwards) and fun challenges (the legendary handbag throw, race to raise awareness for the visually impaired, fun relay...). There will be medals for every event and a special ward for the winners of the CHALLENGE (best combined performance at 10k race, 400m and long jump) ! Finally, we will enjoy a picnic offered by our club. And all this for only 12 euros! Detailed program Saturday, May 18th 09:00 : Opening of the changing rooms and lockers at the Alain Mimoun Stadium (15 rue de la Nouvelle-Calédonie, Paris 12th). 10:00: Start of the 5 km and 10 km races in the Bois de Vincennes, with solid and liquid refreshment stations ( https://maps.app.goo.gl/t4Bx7phsGgZCd6EZ7 ). 11:45: Beginning of the athletics events (400m, 4x100m relay, long jump) and fun events (the legendary handbag toss, sack race, weight carrying race, etc.) at the Alain Mimoun Stadium. 14:00 : Picnic provided by the Front Runners of Paris at the Alain Mimoun Stadium. 15:00 : Podium and medal presentation at the Alain Mimoun Stadium Prices Single rate: 12€/pers Register Rules To participate, you will be asked for either: The online health course completion certificate, which you can obtain on the FFA website (https://pps.athle.fr/).
