The TIP, a commission of the LGBT+ Sports Federation
The LGBT+ Sports Federation gathers nearly 50 LGBT+ sports associations throughout France, representing nearlt 6,000 athletes of all levels. Its role is to fight against discrimination, especially those related to sexual orientation or gender identity, and promote sports for all.
A word from the presidency
This year 2024 is exceptional in many ways. On one hand, Paris is hosting the Olympic and Paralympic Games this summer, and on the other hand, the Paris international Tournament is celebrating its 20th (twentieth) anniversary!
Sports as a means of inclusion and unbiased participation between peers will be in the spotlight. To emphasize this message and for the first time in the history of the TIP, the godmother will be a transgender athlete.
The TIP is also about human contact, culture, solidarity, sharing, festivities, achievements, defeats, laughter, and tears.
The LGBT+ Sports Federation is very proud of the unwavering commitment of the International Paris Tournament committee, which never counts its hours or the energy expended, all with kindness and good humor. This constant motivation allows for the return of the TIP every year.
Our heartfelt thanks go to all the volunteers on the committee and to all the associations that make this annual highlight such a success.
Our thanks also go to the DILCRAH, the City of Paris and the “Agence Nationale du Sport”. Their presence at our side plays an active part in the smooth running of this weekend.
