8:45 a.m. — Welcome & check-in
9:00 a.m. — Random draw for Round 1
A 15-minute break is planned between each round and the draw for the next round.

10:15 to 11:00 a.m. Round 2
11:15 to 12:00 p.m. Round 3

TOURNAMENT RULES – PETANQUE
Competition Format
The tournament is played in triples using a Swiss Round system, with 20 teams (60 players).
It includes 5 rounds, followed by final matches. No team is eliminated before the end of the rounds.
There are two separate competitions: one on Saturday and the other on Sunday. Participants can register for Saturday, Sunday, or both days.

Rounds Structure
Round 1: random pairings.
Rounds 2 to 5: pairings based on rankings (teams with similar performance).
Rematches are avoided as much as possible.
Maximum duration of one round is 45 minutes.
Match ends at the whistle, the current end is completed, the ongoing point does not count.
Finals
Played to 13 points, No time limit
Swiss Scoring System
Win: 1 point
Draw: 0.5 point
Loss: 0 point
Statistics Definitions
PF (Points For): total points scored
PA (Points Against): total points conceded
Point Difference (PF – PA): used to break ties

Ranking
The ranking is updated after each round and finalized after Round 5 according to:
1) Total Swiss points
2) Point difference (PF – PA)
3) Total points scored (PF)
Final Phase: At the end of the final ranking:
Final: 1st vs 2nd
Match for 3rd place: 3rd vs 4th
